To wield a wand is to amplify intention

  • The quintessential nature of a wand is to direct energy! Imagine energy flowing through your hand, through the wand, and toward the thing to which you point. This could be a space, object, person, or even a point on your own body.

  • Hold the wand while meditating to enhance focus and strengthen visualization. It serves as a spiritual antennae for your inner guides and higher realms.

I love a sitting meditation where I hold the wand end to end between my palms and then I flip it for an even amount of time. I find this to be a balancing practice between the hemispheres of my body. Laying down with the wand along the midline of the torso is also an excellent exercise.

  • Perhaps one of my favorite uses! Once in your hand the frequency generated by the alchemical combination of your energy field paired with the inherent vibration of the copper and crystals cannot help but to activate and shake stagnant energies. With a swirl in the air and a flick of the wrist move those stuck energies along! New homes, old homes, creepy basements, so many spaces could use a swirl and a flick.

The upleveled practice involves falling into flow with the gyration of the wand when held from the center. Spinning, swirling, and twirling not only breaks up inert energy, but offers the opportunity to work a new weave through the space, a pulsing web of intention and direction and alignment.

  • Casting can be thought of as an act of shaping the energy. Use the wand to draw a circle around you, physically or symbolically. This forms a protected zone of ritual space or simply a boundary through which no outside influence can cross.

I like to take things a step up in dimensional shape and build a bubble! I will often hold onto a end of the wand centered over my heart, breathe in, and with the breath out build a bubble of protection around me and anchor the center on the top stone.

  • Sigil writing, for those you choose to work through the potent language of symbols can be empowered through writing in the air or scribing into a soft medium.

I have a special mini wand I use exclusively for scribing onto ritual candles. 10/10!

  • Hover the wand over crystals, tools, or talismans while focusing your intention to charge or cleanse them. It is your intention that guides this process.

  • Holding aloft the wand to call upon the sky or elemental direction to invoke deities, spirits, or energies is an age old tradition. Take caution and care with such endeavors and be mindful of the potency of these actions. Protect, protect, protect.

A sharp sweep of the and a forceful push of will can banish unwanted energies from your banish. Use mindfulness and protection.

Your wand is a bridge between your inner power and the world around you
